Optimised Web Shop for Mountain Railways
Our web shop has been optimised based on the experience of the last winter season and is therefore even better tailored to the special needs of our mountain railway customers.
Bellwald Sportbahnen AG is one of the first customers to use the new web shop version since last week and is enthusiastic about the new functionalities. The Pricenow web shop was already implemented for this mountain railway last winter 2018/2019 and was able to achieve positive results. The online share of total winter sales of 27%, which was 0% before the introduction, was particularly remarkable. And all this without any additional marketing measures.

The decisive factor for this success was certainly not only the user-friendliness and appearance of the web shop, but also in particular the dynamic pricing model, which encourages more and more customers to make early bird purchases.
Enhanced Features and Expanded Functionality

To the Better cover the entire value chain of a mountain railway In addition, the range of functions of the web shop has been significantly expanded. In the future, not only ski tickets, but also sleigh rides, train rides as well as restaurant bookings or events can be easily sold via the Pricenow web shop. What is exciting is that all web shop modules can now be operated with our pricing engine, which allows the mountain railway to break new ground in setting prices and optimize earnings overall.
Experience from last season has also shown that the Print @Home option is a very popular option among ski customers to buy a ski ticket online for the first time and print it out at home or load it onto a smartphone. To make it easier for the mountain railway ticket counters to handle these customers, Together with our cooperation partner SKIDATA, we integrated the SKIDATA pick-up system into our web shop. This enables the cable car to validate Print @Home tickets at the cash desk in seconds and load them onto a keycard — without breaks in the accounting system and fully integrated. As in the previous season, ski tickets can still be conveniently loaded onto a SKIDATA Keycard or SwissPass.
Annoying queues at the counter will therefore continue to be obsolete thanks to our Pricenow web shop and there will definitely be more time to enjoy yourself on the slopes in the coming winter season.
